February 2006 My Plastic WorldThis piece began as a desire to do a simple shadow dance. But, as I let it all simmer and began to rip out parts of my house to use for prop building, it turned into something much more meaningful. For me, it became a dissertation on my American life and how I was to free myself from it. The dance in the box is sexuality based only in carnality and not in love. My body is bound in America, and I needed help from others to free myself from it's rules.
